Finding your way around the resources pages

To help you find your way around the resources pages, I’ve used a standard structure wherever possible across the different pages. The only page where I haven’t done this is the Local websites and blogs page, because of the extremely varied content of these.

Basically, I’ve included resources that relate to multiple species-groups first, and then I’ve listed resources by species-group in the following standardised structure:

VERTEBRATES

Birds
Fish
Mammals
Reptiles and amphibians

INSECTS

Bees, wasps and ants
Beetles
Bugs
Butterflies and moths

Butterflies
Macro-moths
Micro-moths

Dragonflies
Flies

Hoverflies
Soldierflies and allies

Grasshoppers, cricket and allies
Sawflies

OTHER INVERTEBRATES

VASCULAR PLANTS

Aquatic plants
Grasses, sedges, rushes and ferns
Orchids
Trees

BRYOPHYTES (mosses and liverworts)

FUNGI

Lichens

And then at the very end, I’ve included anything which doesn’t fit into the above structure.
